Good Corporate Citizens
Water, sustainability and community—as corporate citizens, Nestle Waters focuses on these three main areas. This focus drove the construction at the client’s new 164,000sf, four-floor facility in Connecticut. Looking to “drive toward a light footprint” our staff worked with Nestle representatives and the entire project team to construct a LEED Gold space for their employees. The LEED aspects included the use of low flow fixtures and energy rated appliances; recycled wood for millwork and entry floor design; and low VOC paints, carpet and sealant throughout the floors. During the demolition of the space before construction could begin, our staff worked to divert as much material waste from landfills as possible. Staff also carefully documented all LEED criteria for submission to the USGBC.
Beauty Inside and Out
In addition to the interior fit-out which included coffee bar areas, auditorium, Town Center lobby/meeting areas, data center; training facilities, and open plan and executive offices, our staff also provided construction management for the exterior of the building. This fast-track project also required painting the building; and refurbishing the parking garage, including adding new lighting and re-stripping; paving and installing ADA compliant ramps.
