NAIOP Selects Buddhist Culture Center Built by Structure Tone
Best Institutional Facility in DC
|(May 8, 2009)- The Washington, DC/Maryland Chapter of NAIOP (he commercial real estate development association) selected the new Buddhist Culture Center built by Structure Tone an Award of Merit as the Best Institutional Facility for 2009. The NAIOP Awards of Excellence recognize achievement in facility development in the District of Columbia and Prince George’s, Montgomery and Frederick Counties in Maryland.|
The new 18,500sf building was constructed in the heart of Massachusetts Avenue between two sovereign embassies. The new structure is in harmony with the both the Buddhist faith and the neighboring diplomatic embassies, churches and homes. Among many other components of the faith complex, the main feature is a 200-seat main sanctuary and an additional 50-seat sanctuary.
